Full day Scouts sailing session! Always wanted to give sailing a go? Want to learn skills you will have for life? Then this adventure is for you!
Your sailing journey starts here as you learn introductory skills of sailing and are introduced to the fun of dinghy sailing in a safe and supportive environment.
Alining with the Scouts outdoor adventure boating stage 1 & 2 this full day session aims to provide and teach the basic knowlege of:
- Safety while sailing
- Identifying the wind direction
- Identifying parts of the boat
- Rig and launch a sailing dinghy
- Points of sail
- Knot tying
and of course... having fun with friends!
Note: This is not an Australian Sailing accredited course and instead is conducted by the school/club/organisation, outside of the Australian Sailing framework.
